It’s important to us that we balance both of our families.  It’s difficult, because my family is in Ohio while Brad’s is an hour away.  It’s also complicated because we both want to be with our own families at Christmas, while not wanting to be apart.

The solution we came up with is not ideal, but it will work.

We’ll be spending Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday with the Owenses in VA, then spending Christmas Eve and Day with my family in Ohio before driving back to spend the rest of the Christmas weekend with Brad’s family down here.  Next year, we’ll switch, and my family will get Thanksgiving and an early or late Christmas, while Brad’s family will be with us on Christmas Day.
